Design management was crucial for the correctional infrastructure due to the site’s large size of 1k by 1km. It involved coordinating with stakeholders to ensure that the infrastructure met security and operational requirements, while also incorporating sustainable and forward-thinking design elements. Emphasis was placed on efficient space use, security planning, and the well-being of staff and detainees. Environmental impact assessments and sustainability considerations were also integrated to minimize ecological footprint and maximize functionality and safety.

EU TUMO Convergence Centre

$30 million USD – client: TUMO centre for creative technologies

Project management for this initiative involved overseeing contracts, tenders, and due diligence for EU agencies and the European Development Bank. It required meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements. The design management aspect entailed coordinating consultants from various countries, including the Netherlands, the UK, and Lebanon, to ensure a holistic and innovative approach to the correctional infrastructure design. Communication and collaboration across borders and time zones were integral to the success of this multinational endeavor, requiring adept handling of cultural nuances and logistical challenges.

iKON Apartments – Re-Cladding Works

$1.2 million – client: ikon apartments strata board

The project involved the complex task of replacing the entire building facades and combustible cladding. This endeavor entailed navigating a web of relationships between the high-profile clients inhabiting the building and Mirvac, the original developer. The extensive process required a good deal of attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements and guidelines set forth by relevant institutions. Communication and collaboration were integral to the success of this endeavor, requiring adept handling of cultural nuances and logistical challenges.
